Instant Messaging is the standard in many offices. Millions
of workers use it to exchange information quickly and efficiently. Easier
and cheaper than a phone call, IM allows two people to chat in "real time."
There are many Instant Messaging clients available - AOL,
Microsoft (MSN) and Yahoo are popular providers.
But this "one-size-fits-all" software doesn't offer the
secure and private environment needed in many management offices today.

7 IM sets up a very restricted environment that tightly
controls who gets to talk to whom.
In an open environment, like MSN Messenger, any user can
sign up for an account, download the IM client, add other users to their
contact list, and begin messaging other people.
But in some situations, you
may not want your IM users to be able to add contacts or know the system's
secure users. And, you may not want certain users to be able to converse with
anyone but an administrator or a designated "super user."
With 7 IM, you'll have a secure and private environment to
protect all your messages from uninvited 3rd parties.
7 IM Features:
- A user cannot see or talk with any other users except those selected by an
administrator.
- Admins or SuperUsers can converse freely with each other.
- Admins or SuperUsers can have an unlimited number of conversations open with
their assigned users.
- Admin screens are available to set all settings for the organization and to
determine and set user communication rights.
- A Desktop client (our IM provider) is installed on your computer and
"listens" for any communication from other users logged into the
system. Woosh! You'll immediately see any secure, private
message pop up on your screen from another Admin or SuperUser only seconds
after it's sent.
- We offer a remote Web-based client used by standard users. This Web site
account enables a user to work offsite, log on to a designated Web site
and begin to IM in a safe, secure environment.
- Our remote Web client refreshes conversations with NO interruptions. We've incorporated a cool
tool that won't require refreshing of whole pages during each IM session.
This terrific time-saver is a new and efficient way to maintain IM
conversations without page refresh interruptions.
- Conversations are
recorded in the base SQL Server database and can be recalled by an
administrator at any time after the conversation. No more
untrackable IM sessions!
- Our system can be completely internal on an Intranet or can be used over the Internet.
- For Admins/SuperUsers, the system knows who's online and dynamically adjusts
your contacts tree as other Admins/SuperUsers and Standard Users come
online or go offline. You'll get to see who's talking!
System Requirements:
- SQL Server 2000 database
- IIS 5.0 or greater running on a Windows Hosting Server (Windows Server 2000,
Windows Server 2003 or greater and running the Microsoft .Net Framework
version 1.1 or greater.
- Internet connection and web-browser (for web client)
- Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003 with the Microsoft
.Net Framework version 1.1 or greater installed. (for Admin/SuperUser
desktop client).
